Time and place will never be a factor if you have couple who looks like them. With these faces, you can create endless possibilities and explore every direction. If there’s a song that fits this engagement session shoot, I think It would be Rihanna’s We found Love. Even how hopeless the place is, if there’s a real love dwelling on it, it will definitely transform that hopeless place into something extraordinary. I am not saying that the places where we did the shoot were hopeless, but these are the locations that you usually see everyday, and will never imagine that you can do something great on it plus the fact that we have to do this in a very short span of tyime — and yes, we did this shoot at Alleine’s hometown in Cavite.
Omar and Alleine met in Doha, Qatar, where they work for Al Jazeera News English. They’re both exposed in Arts & Media, so just imagine the pressure and challenge on my end. But what I can boldly remember is how much we enjoyed the shoot.
